Me and
My Way to Art

We always leave aside what we like in behalf of what we have to do or what gives us money.
I like to paint, and I never had enough time to devote myself to it ( I am translator as proffesion). And although I started relatively late, (today everything is "before the age of 30"), I am fulfilling what I always dreamed: Paint, paint, paint. Freely (and I still have many examples and teachers ahead), but I am sensitive, I get excited with what I do, I enjoy it and that is why I am committed.
I remember to start in a workshop in Bs As with the basic knowledge of an apple and the little house with fireplace that smokes. And this teacher said "you will learn to differentiate a thousand apples from this apple". During that year I only worked with charcoal. Then I started with black and white acrylic and only then with the three primary colors. In this workshop I also had the beautiful experience of drawing model. I think it was the stage that showed me that we all carry an artist inside, and I wanted to develop mine, it showed me that you can. Then I entered in the workshop of Betty Alonso, university professor and excellent painter, who taught me to "release the hand" and enjoy painting. I was able to paint anything that crossed my eyes. It was a time of liberation.
Then, already settled in Spain, I joined the workshop of RosalÃa Banet , a recognized international artist , and I surrendered to the pleasure of a colorful palette. She gave me the kick-off to expose, to show people what I do and also to accept critics. I made individual and collective exhibitions, and I sold my first painting. That experience was both hard and rewarding, because it is difficult to come off one´s first work. By this time,I broke the barrier of what I thought I was not capable of my fears, frustrations, and at the same time hopes, dedication and pride because you appreciate my work... I owe to her, besides our friendship, the security that conveyed to me in my decision to devote myself to painting, launching me into a large canvas size, facing criticism, exhibitions, andreleasing my work to unknown walls that may appreciate my art.
Through this site you are going to know me , my personality, my change of mood through the colors, themes and composition. I want to share my work with you and I hope you´ll enjoy it!
